Tenable will acquire Eureka Security

The goal of the operation is to add Data Security Posture Management to your Cloud Security Platform. Unified CNAPP will provide comprehensive protection across infrastructure, workloads, identities and data for a rapidly growing cloud security customer base.

The Exhibition Management company announced that it has signed a final agreement to acquire Eureka Security, Inc., a data security posture management (DSPM) provider for cloud environments. Eureka Security helps security teams gain a holistic view of an organization’s cloud data security landscape, combat policy deviation and incorrect configurations that put data at risk, and continuously improve your safety posture over time. The acquisition is expected to close this month.

By adding DSPM capabilities to its Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) solution, Tenable will help customers identify key evidence related to cloud data risk, including where sensitive data resides, who has access to that data and the seriousness of the risk posed by a possible data commitment. This type of visibility is critical to an organization’s ability to accurately assess its cloud security compliance. In the Tenable 2024 Cloud Security Outlook study, 95% of organizations surveyed had experienced cloud-related gaps in the previous 18 months. Among them, 92% reported sensitive data exposure, and most acknowledged being harmed by data exposure.

“Eureka Security technology will allow Tenable to offer a better prioritization of risks in the cloud and identify toxic combinations beyond vulnerabilities, incorrect configurations and privileged access to also include data at risk”said Shai Morag, senior vice president and general manager of Cloud Security, Tenable. “This is another example of how we are pushing cloud security innovation to the limit for customers and leading the market forward by developing world-class capabilities”.

“Eureka Security’s data-centric approach provides the visibility, control and automation needed to navigate the dynamic cloud landscape while ensuring the highest level of security and compliance”said Liat Hayun, co-founder and CEO of Eureka Security. “We are excited to join Tenable. Integrating our capabilities into Tenable’s CNAPP offering creates a compelling capability for customers. Tenable also provides a broad customer base and strong marketing capabilities. We couldn’t have found a better match to help us expand our mission to reduce the risk of cloud data globally”.

DSPM integration will complete the current Tenable Cloud Security solution that already includes key capabilities such as unified (CNAPP), Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) pump-proof, cloud workload protection and industry-leading Cloud Infrastructure and Rights Management (ICES), among others, which will give security teams the context and prioritization guide for making efficient and accurate remediation decisions. Eureka Security’s DSPM capabilities are expected to be natively integrated into Tenable Cloud Security and its primary CNAPP solution later this year.

The acquisition is expected to have no material impact on revenues this year.
