Google Cloud has appointed Fernando Mollón as the Head of Multi-Country in the team of Eduardo López, VP of Google Cloud for Latin America. The Argentine-born executive with extensive experience in first-rate companies in the technological field joins the Google Cloud team with the objective of guiding operations in an integrated way in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Central America and the Caribbean. Juan Pablo Consuegra, Country Manager of Google Cloud Colombia, will work closely with Fernando to enhance opportunities between Colombia and the rest of the region.
In the last quarter, Google Cloud reached important milestones: globally, quarterly revenues exceeded $10 billion for the first time, and at the same time exceeded $1 billion in quarterly operating earnings. To date, AI infrastructure and generative AI solutions for cloud customers have generated billions in revenue and are being used by more than 2 million developers. Mollón’s addition to the Latin America team is a new commitment to customers and partners in the region, with the aim of accompanying Latin American companies and helping them accelerate their digital capabilities through infrastructure, Industry-specific platforms and solutions.

Fernando Mollón has more than 30 years of experience in companies in the technology sector and always highlighted by its commitment to delivering satisfactory results and optimal customer service. He held sales and leadership positions at HP, AT&T, EMC, ORACLE and VMWARE, in several cases with regional responsibility. For the past 12 years he has been General Manager for Latin America at VMware. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Systems from the Centro de Altos Estudios en Ciencias Exactas (CAECE University) and a Master’s degree in Leadership from the Universidad Austral Argentina.
