Adistec Joins NetApp Solutions to Boost the Cloud Business of its Channels

The wholesale distributor has already started the onboarding of new NetApp partners, a process in which training will be key for them to be able to offer services, thus aligning them with the strategy of the American multinational.

Adistec, the leader in value-added distribution for Latin America & Caribbean, has already started the recruitment and onboarding process of current and new partners of NetApp, the software company focused on data management and the cloud, to include them in its portfolio of solutions, so that they can get the necessary skills to be aligned with its new strategy as a software company focused on the Cloud, supported by the NetApp Learning Center.

“We are very pleased to have NetApp back in our portfolio, which complements our solutions for the Data Center. We will provide our partners throughout Latin America with our specialized resources so that they have the necessary skills to conduct successful projects and can add a new business value to their offer,” said Fabian Sperman, President of Adistec.

“We chose Adistec mainly for two reasons, one of them, obviously, is the fact that they have already worked with NetApp and know the technology. And also because both the management team and the sales and marketing team know the product and the company and this is very important for us when starting a new path with a distributor,” said Francisco Torres-Brizuela, Channel and Alliances Director at NetApp in Iberia and Latin America. “The other reason is their experience in the Data Center market segment, where we go with partners such as Commvault, VMware and Cisco, which generates important synergies, both in terms of solutions and the type of integrator or reseller the distributor may have, which clearly fits the business development strategy we need in the region.

“WE FOUND ADISTEC, BECAUSE OF ITS SIZE AND APPROACH TO THE MARKET, TO BE A MORE SPECIALIZED DISTRIBUTOR.”

For NetApp, it is very important for partners to understand its umbrella strategy, Data Fabric, which enables the movement of data between different Clouds, including public Clouds, such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

“We will do a strong enablement work with Adistec and through the NetApp Learning Center, so that partners have the ability to guide their respective customers to the Cloud, including services,” said Torres-Brizuela. “This allows us to bring NetApp on-premises technology – based on our own operating system – to both the public and private cloud, in a concept of hybridization of the Cloud and, of course, most of our partners should follow that path. Our intention is to have partners that help their customers to migrate an important part of their applications to the cloud, but maintaining -and this is fundamental- the same technology in the storage world, because today what runs on-premises runs in any Cloud”, emphasized the executive.

To make this happen, NetApp has deployed support resources throughout Latin America, both in-house and outsourced to its service and infrastructure partners. “We are a 100 % channel company and what we want is that most of the services are provided by our partners. Adistec specialists throughout the region are already trained to join them on this path of the new NetApp,” said Torres-Brizuela.

“We also want Adistec to recruit Cloud Partners, who are only interested in selling Cloud services, and to whom we will provide the necessary training and support,” he concluded.
