The HT-S40R has 600W of power and 5.1 surround, with wireless rear speakers that will allow you to enjoy an authentic surround sound experience.

To further reduce wires, the soundbar wirelessly connects to a compatible Sony BRAVIA.
It uses Bluetooth to wirelessly stream music from a smartphone or its USB port to play audio from any device for enjoyable gatherings at home, with family and friends.

The HT-S40R’s design was meticulously engineered. With its slim and compact soundbar, discreet subwoofer and rear wireless speakers 1, the HT-S40R blends seamlessly with BRAVIA TVs and can be a great addition to your living room. In addition, the compact soundbar and rear speakers can be wall-mounted for convenience and style, while the wireless amplifier can be placed anywhere you prefer, on a piece of furniture or mounted on the wall.
Entertainment customization based on taste and preference
The speaker system includes four sound modes – Cinema, Music, Standard Sound and Auto – to choose the one that best suits what you’re watching or listening to. It is also possible to choose between Night mode, which optimizes the sound balance to hear everything clearly even at low volume, and Voice mode, which adjusts the sound to accentuate voices so you don’t miss a word.
The HT-S40R model will be available starting this January at Sony Store and department stores.
