Arcserve announced the launch of its Resilient Cloud, a 100% cloud platform designed to provide data protection. This is an evolution of the company’s hybrid cloud that combines the flexibility of the cloud with the strength of UDP disaster recovery solutions.

“The resilient cloud is the extension of UDP in version 9.2, (coming soon in its 10 release in October) and serves to keep services operational after a disaster. We are also extending the service for Backup immutable in the cloud. Provides a more robust and secure infrastructure, allowing companies to maintain business continuity and protect their critical data against any threat, With the peace of mind that we have a fully integrated and scalable solution that adapts to your constantly evolving needs,” explained Germán Porras, Regional Sales Director for MCLAC.

“The advantage of Arcserve is that we have customers in virtually every industry and of all sizes. It depends on the technical and commercial skills that the same partner has, so we always help channels to position and market projects”

With the Arcserve Resilient Cloud, users will be able to access Backup as a Service and Disaster Recovery as a Service. In addition to being a strong resource for enterprise cybersecurity, this new solution is also very helpful due to its scalability, being suitable for application in organizations of all sizes.

When asked about the key benefits this new solution brings to users, the Regional Sales Director for MCLAC listed: “The new resilient cloud provides first of all great flexibility. Then, it attacks the immutability market, with customers needing to make sure they can keep their data as objects in case of any accident. Another benefit is the issue of customers requiring to have solutions in archiving mode, keep their histories for a long period of time in the cloud. This brings simplicity by not having everything on tapes, let alone the costs of having everything in physical vaults”.

“Arcserve is a pioneer in data protection and information backup, which has evolved to have not only software but also hardware appliances with different clouds, depending on the customer’s needs.”

To conclude, and drawing a parallel between the new launch and the company itself, the interviewee argued that Arcserve is a “resilient company”. Their products, such as the cloud, help organizations to be resilient. The same goes for their channel ecosystem, which they have developed over many years with their main wholesaler, Nexsys. With this work, they have formed resilient channels that have struggled with competition. The manufacturer’s team has also been able to overcome various adversities. “Products, equipment and partners, we have a fully resilient team,” concluded German Porras.
