The semiconductor manufacturer was present at a new edition of the CES in Las Vegas, United States. In addition to announcing new developments in processors and graphics cards, the company highlighted the potential of Ryzen AI technology to drive ecosystem development.

Artificial Intelligence has long been impacting the market, mainly Generative AI. The problem is that most of these models today are difficult to scale and expensive in terms of carbon footprint. Against this backdrop, AMD anticipates strong growth in the hybrid AI ecosystem, where some workloads will be uploaded to the cloud and others to the edge or endpoint.

“With a hybrid ecosystem we can deliver more personal experiences and users will be able to do their work faster due to lower data latency. Applying Ryzen AI technology to endpoint devices will be key, as it provides the hardware platform needed to enable these AI capabilities on a notebook, on a desktop, on the edge,” said Matt Unangst, AMD Senior Director, Commercial Client.

“Our strategy is to offer processors with the best AI capabilities, from cloud solutions to the edge and endpoint”

Additionally, the executive highlighted the company’s effort to build an ecosystem with developers and application providers, since it is necessary to have both the hardware and the appropriate applications that work in it.

“Today we have more than 100 applications to take advantage of in our Ryzen AI integrator technology. That’s something that grows every day and we hope it continues like this,” Unangst said.

On the other hand, the Senior Director, Commercial Client of AMD referred to the development of the brand in Latin America, and pointed out that this is a territory in which they are working alongside many partners to have a greater presence with their entire portfolio. Unangst said that we are just “at the beginning of the AI era”, and that many applications have taken advantage of this technology, so people’s interest in these tools is increasing.

“IT LEADERS AROUND THE WORLD ARE VERY EXCITED ABOUT PCS WITH IA. They are aware that the application ecosystem will continue to grow, so they want to buy a PC that will be productive in the future”

The work with partners

AMD works closely with its partners in the region, and offers a partner program with which they seek to ensure that they provide the necessary accompaniment to their partners, to reach the market in the right way and educate customers about the benefits of having company solutions.

The interviewee said that the partners trust AMD for the quality of their products, which offer the best performance, as for example in video conferencing applications such as Teams or Zoom. But in addition to performance, the company provides great battery life on your devices.

“We are in a leading position to provide this new technology, including AI. IF WE LOOK TO THE FUTURE AND THINK ABOUT WHO WILL LEAD THE TECHNOLOGY MARKET FROM NOW ON, WE FEEL VERY CONFIDENT THAT IT WILL REMAIN AMD”

“We will continue to accelerate the growth of the ecosystem through developers and application providers, while continuing to offer more and more platforms with Ryzen AI, to make the user experience better and deeper, so they can make the most of it,” concluded Matt Unangst.
